Great Lakes Research Institute is seeking a full-time medical assistant (MA) for a hybrid position including MA, clinical research coordinator, and community development and event planning responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have MA experience, an interest in business to business relationship development, and the desire to learn clinical research.
Responsibilities will include:
Patient facing activities, “the face” of the organization to participants visiting the site.
Performing clinical procedures, blood draws, nasal swabs, administering vaccines, etc…
Managing a clinical research dashboard
Learning the clinical research role under the supervision of experienced team members
Building relationships with local physician offices
Assisting management with event organization such as patient appreciation days, and lunch-and-learns with physician offices
This salaried position will report to the site director. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and employment benefits are included. Hours of work are standard business hours, 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Availability outside of standard business hours will be required on occasion for events.
To be successful in this role an applicant must have:
A strong desire to learn
A warm personality
Knowledge of office tools (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel etc…)
Organizational skills
An interest in moving medicine forward through clinical research
Reliability (can consistently hold down a work schedule).
